What can I expect after gastric sleeve procedure?

After surgery finish,you'll start with liquid foods. This diet is going to start while you are at the hospital. You will finish 2 phases of your diet. The next 4 stages will be starting after your discharge. 

You will change to pureed food, then to solid food a few weeks later. Your meals will be smaller than before. You may take vitamins or other supplements for life.

Daily walking is highly suggested after gastric sleeve. All exercises and diet lits will be provided by SALUSS individully. 

 

How is Recovery after Surgery?

• The surgery takes approximately 1 hour. Gastrointestinal endoscopy will be performed before the operation. 

• You will discharge from hospital 4 nigts later. 

• It is very important to walk as early as 3-4 hours after surgery

• You may have pain in the first night after the surgery. This pain will be reduced day by day.

• All needed medications will be given for your comfort. 

• You will be eligible to work 1 week after the surgery. It is highly recommended to rest at home instead of starting to work immediately. 

• Patients can begin exercising 4 weeks after surgery
